 "Is Open Innovation for You?"

Open innovation is very much in the news at the moment. Corporations such as Procter & Gamble have embraced the technique as a means of significantly improving their ability to innovate. On the face of it working with others to enable innovation seems to make sense, there are opportunities to share the risks, bring in alternative expertise, reach wider markets. Yet statistics show that over 90% of collaborative innovation fails to reach the market. So what has Open Innovation got to offer? Is it working and for whom? What are the requirements for successful implementation (and what are the barriers) and perhaps most importantly is it for you?

This Seminar draws on the latest research from Cranfield University into Open Innovation (directly sponsored by WDP) and consists of;

  • What do we mean by Open Innovation?
  • Does it work?
  • What’s required beforehand?
  • What help is there available?
  • Open discussion and next steps

Our Company

WDP is a Cambridge based consultancy that provides organisations with high quality, comprehensive innovation methods and processes that are proven to work. Often these methods have been tested by our own consultants in the field and through our sponsored research programmes. The methods are provided in a format to suit the organisation concerned be that; workshops, industrial or academic courses, on-line portals, direct advice or simply through the supply of support tools. It is through its full range of services that WDP helps organisations avoid some of the unnecessary risk of innovation. WDP is currently sponsoring a three year reseach programme into Open Innovation at Cranfield University.
